Last night proved our theory correct, that a quiz is a great relaxed medium for getting to know new people. As so many members said last night, the structured but informal environment of the quiz made for a fun and easy way to engage with other members, whilst at times being dangerously competitive!

The winning team 'X-In The City' were strong from the start ably led by Nicola and Billy. They managed to hold firm and deny 'Beauties and the Beasts' the victory. That was probably something to do with 'Beauties and the Beasts' over confidence in their knowledge of Champagne.

Emma said "it was such good value that even if I hadn't met any nice people, I still would have been happy". With free drinks and canapés for our guests and a case of Champagne for the winners, she probably had a point.

With free drinks and exceptional raffle prizes including Grand Prix tickets, a sailing trip, tickets to LOVEBOX’08 and a mountain bike no-one was going to leave empty handed. Later on in the evening it became obvious that many were going to leave with more than just a raffle prize, a belly full of canapés and champagne, as mobile numbers were exchanged and people left having laid some good ground work for future events.

Since last night there has been a spike of people exchanging profiles, which is exactly the result we were hoping for. The combination of Leadenhall Market based club events and the web data base is a great advantage as it means meeting at an event can be discretely followed up on the MiTM Site.

NB We have just received an email from a member who has been a bit discouraged as the person they met last night, who they were keen on, does not have their profile picture up. If this might be you, you are missing out. Remember your profile picture is only visible to signed up members.

The Wine and Cheese Appreciation Evening held at Leadenhall Market was a sell out and everyone had the opportunity to sample some fine wine and cheese.
